Jimbo's Cheap Man's Bus Tour

Welcome to Jimbo's Cheap Man's Bus Tour, our way to explore the sights of Berlin using public transport. Below you can have a listen to the tour, find out more information, and download the mp3 file for your listening pleasure.

This Bus Tour will give you an excellent idea of the main touristic sites of Berlin, the cheap man's way.

Berlin's public bus lines 100 and 200 cover almost the same route as commercial Bus Tours. What it lacks is the explanation. This is where Jimbo comes in! He will explain you all the bits and pieces and funky stories that this city has to offer. But be careful! If you don't pay attention, Jimbo will sing!

You can also get out at any stop and pause the audio tour for a closer look. During the day there is a bus every 7 minutes and they run from 6am - midnight.

More Information...

What you need:

  • Download the tour as MP3 (zip file, about 50 MB)
  • You need to get a daily pass for the Berlin public transport, zone AB. You can get them at the Circus reception for a discounted price of 4,50 EURO per day (regular price 6,30 EURO)
  • a charged camera. You don't want to realize you are out of batteries, while on the Bus.
  • about 2 hours time. The Bus Tour itself just takes about an hour, but plan some more for getting there or if you want to get out at some stops.

How to get there:

From the Circus take the U8 direction Hermannstrasse to Alexanderplatz. Then follow the signs in the station "BUS". This will bring you to Karl-Liebknecht Street. On the opposite side of the road towards your left is the bus stop 100.

How to use the audio tour: Simply click on the file when it corresponds with the same stop on the digital display in the Bus. If you are stuck in traffic press pause or skip forward if the bus is going too quick.

Sit back and relax or join the eternal battle for the seats at the front row top deck.

Jimbo's Tip to get front row seats: Stand to the left of the Bus stop sign (the sign with the H on top), while the Bus is approaching. Have your ticket ready to show the driver. Run!

Music: The music between the stations is provided by Minimal artist Pheek. He is a friend of Andreas Digel, the Circus Electro music guru.

The music is taken from the Album Consortium, which was released on the thinner netlabel. You can download the full album at
