Jimbo's Cold War Tour

At the end of the Second World War Berlin was occupied by the Allied Forces, and as with the rest of Germany, the city was divided into four "zones" of occupation: British, French, American and Soviet. With the eventual hardening of the division of the country into the FRG (West Germany) and the GDR (East Germany), so was Berlin split, and from 1961 until 1989 it was physically divided by the Berlin Wall.
Jimbo's Cold War Tour is a downloadable pdf filled with information, maps and facts about some of the key locations and sights relating to the division of Berlin. Divided into East and West, Jim takes you around the sights - such as the former American barracks, the Commonwealth Cemetary, and the location for JFK's famous "Ich bin ein Berliner" speech in the West - to the Soviet War Memorials, remaining stretches of the Wall, and the Socialist showcase of Karl Marx Allee in the East.
Included with Jim's descriptions are some maps to show you how to get to each location from the closest public transport.
