On the ground floor of the Circus Hostel is the Circus Cafe, a place where you will find people from the hostel and the neighbourhood sipping coffee, reading the paper, or playing the odd game of chess or yahtzee with a shot of vodka as the prize. A place to relax after pounding the streets of one of Europe’s liveliest and bustling cities, or discover the best of the music that made Berlin famous on our listening station.

Breakfast is served each morning from 8.30am until the highly civilised time of 1pm, and ranges from €3 for a continental breakfast to €5 for the “World Famous All You Can Eat Circus Breakfast Buffet”, which is almost as big a mouthful as its name.

In the summertime the outside terrace is the perfect spot to people-watch and tram-spot with the afternoon sun. In the winter warm yourself with a class of Glühwein or an Irish coffee. All year round you can stay connected with our free WiFi connection.

Every afternoon the kitchen offers sandwiches, toasties, salads and warm meal specials. Add a beer, a cocktail or some of the best coffee in Berlin, and you’ll be set for an afternoon with good friends or a favourite book. On the weekend we show the best of Europe’s football leagues on the tv screen, as well as the odd set of acoustic music or mellow DJ sets. Come and chill out.
