5th April – Cool Stuff at The Circus and Around Town

Before we start the week, we would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter and we hope that you are all enjoying the long weekend. As always, Andrew has prepared his very special “start the week” guide to what is going on at The Circus and elsewhere in Berlin, and with the re-opening of the Hostel the programme is packed. As part of the opening celebrations, and as an apology for the fact that the facade of the building is not finished, we have lots of special treats for the hostel guests, which along with the details of the regular programme events, is all here:

Free Tours:

Each day  of the week we have a “free” city tour run by “Brewers Best of Berlin” with a special pickup for Circus Hostel guests only at 1pm.

On Monday we have a special ” Underground Resistance” tour taking place. Our Guide, Preston, will pickup our Hostel guests at 2pm and show them some of the more specialized points of German resistance during the Nazi era.

On Tuesday “Jimbo’s Crazy Tours” – are off to the Olympic stadium. Pickup at 9am at reception.

On Wednesday at 2pm, we have Lady Gaby’s “Underground Arts” tour. Taking a closer look at creative shops and spaces in Berlin’s artistic neighbourhoods Kreuzberg Neukoln and Wedding.

On Saturday,another special tour “Berlin on High” . Leaving at 2pm, our Guide Preston will show guests some of the more memorable view’s one can absorb by foot, such as Bernauer Strasse tower, Humboldhain, and Volkspark Friedrichshain.

Other Goodies:

Yoga: Hostel Guests can receive a free yoga class (just across the road) at 1pm every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

Tuesday & Thursday: At 10 am we will have another Juggling performance and class for anyone daring to try.

And off course we have our daily free massage in reception at 4pm and nightly free keg of beer down in Goldmans starting 8pm.

Events at Goldman’s Bar – The Circus Hostel

Tuesday night : “Club Night” – with Dj Lavender. For those of you who have been around the Circus for some time will know that Lavender Dj’d at our Fabisch New years eve Bash, and was alot of fun.  With a mix of Electro and retro pop, This uber cool cat from New York should get you dancing in your pants.

Wednesday night: Champions League – 2nd leg quarter final, Manchester United Vs Bayern Munich (20:45)

Thursday Night: Live Music  – Tracy O (Electro/ Rock/Electro – SEE PHOTO). This Duo ( Dell on vocals, Bert on Guitar and the Machines) originally from Paris are now based in Berlin. Have been performing at many of the underground art spaces in Berlin over the past months, and are now ready to tare Goldmans apart.

Wednesday Night: After work “Aperitif”(19:00) – with drinks, finger food and Music.
