Starting today…DMY International Design Festival in Berlin

DMY 2010A bit short notice this one, and therefore maybe only useful for our readers who are actually already in Berlin, but starting today at the former Tempelhof Airport is the DMY International Design Festival.

Here’s what they say about themselves:

DMY Berlin is an international design network for contemporary product design. At the yearly DMY International Design Festival Berlin both renowned and young, experimental designers launch new products, prototypes and foresighted projects. The exhibition is accompanied by a wide program of symposia, designer-talks and workshops, able to reflect current topics of contemporary design and to reveal necessary future trends of design and its related disciplines.

The designers presenting their work come from all over the world…indeed, the list includes showcases from Buenos Aires, Seoul, the UK and Taiwan, and the Youngsters section of the festival includes work from students of Goldsmith’s College of London, the UDK Berlin, and the Esad Strasbourg. Check out the designs of the future, and have a look around the Tempelhof park as well…it’s pretty cool.
