Ken Burke – Live in Goldman’s Bar

It is time to welcome back an old friend to Goldman’s Bar at The Circus Hostel tomorrow evening (Thursday 31 January) as Ken Burke brings his wonderful acoustic folk-pop to the stage. If you want to know why you should come down for a few drinks and a listen, then here is Ken in his own words:

“Music, songs, melodies and rhymes have been with me my whole life to now. Even before I picked up a guitar I had songs and poems in head. I can’t remember learning to play guitar. I was maybe 10 years old when I started playing. I never had lessons.

I listened to songs and tried to play them. All kinds of music. Great Irish tradional ballads and folk. Then some Beatles, Thin Lizzy, Bob Dylan and the standard classics. I was addicted to learning songs and I still am.”

Ken has played at the Circus many, many times and every time has been an evening to remember, so come and join us from 10pm and don’t forget, as with all events at the Circus, entry is open to all and absolutely free. And if you want to know what is going  on down in our “den of debauchery” otherwise known as Goldman’s Bar, check out their very own facebook page.
