Did you miss us? Unfortunately we had some technical issues with the Circus Blog but we are up and running again, just as things get a little festive in Berlin… and although the weather is damp and gloomy the sausages are still sizzling and the Glühwein is nice and warm, so make sure you check out the Christmas markets… here are some of our favourites, whilst our mates at Slow Travel Berlin have also put out their festive guide to the city.
Over the weekend, our neighbours up on Brunnenstraße hosted their design Christmas Market, full of excellent art, fashion and gifts… the perfect place to pick up a present. And never fear, if you missed it over the last couple of days they will be hosting it again over the weekend of 21st and 22nd December. Meanwhile, if all these sparkling lights, wooden huts and carol singing is getting you down, our local footballing heroes Hertha BSC are playing their last game before the winter break at the Olympic Stadium, and as always we have tickets on reception. The game is on Friday evening against Werder Bremen, and you can get tickets from us for €15 which includes transport to and from the legendary arena. Bargain.
