The Berlin New Year’s Run takes place every 1st January at 12 noon just in front of the Brandenburg Gate. The course is a nice and easy 4 kilometre stroll up Unter den Linden, around the cathedral, and back again, and is the perfect way to get some fresh air, shake out the cobwebs from the night before, and start the year as you mean to go on…
There is no need to register, and there is no entry fee, rather the organisers collect donations from the participants for a local charity. And with a run down Berlin’s most famous street, you will pass by many of the legendary sights of the city, just like on the Berlin Marathon, but you only have to complete a tenth of the distance!
Paul and Ivi from the Circus crew will be running off their hangovers and will be taking along any Circus guests crazy enough to join them… meeting point is the Circus Hostel reception on 1st January at 11am!
