Our Neighbourhood

At the Circus our surroundings are very important to us, and as well as welcoming travellers from around the world, we want to be good neighbours to our friends on Rosenthaler Platz. This place that we have found ourselves is very special to us, and as you might expect in a city like Berlin, it has a fascinating history.

Over the past few years we have been fortunate to have been involved with the Centre Judiacum here in Berlin, who have helped us to understand better the stories of the neighbourhood. The following articles have been produced and are of interest of anyone who wants to know more about Rosenthaler Platz and the stories of the neighbourhood:

A HISTORY OF THE ROSENTHALER PLATZ NEIGHBOURHOOD

We are also really pleased to be closely associated with the Initiative Rosenthaler Platz, which is an organisation of locals and other concerned parties that try to work together to make our neighbourhood better...one recent initiative has been “Keep Rosenthaler Platz Tidy”, a project that we are heavily involved in and proud to support.
