As in many places where you´ve travelled there are too many big franchises dominating the inner city of Berlin, so for us it´s always important to find those exceptions, unique places where the handwriting and taste of those who run the place is visible, a concept the Circus totally supports.
One of the favorites of the boys working at the Circus is the ´´Burg und Schild´´ at Rosa-Luxemburg-Street 2, a short walk away from the Hotel. The 2 very pleasant guys running the shop, Kai and Shane, both fluent in English, have worked for years for big companies doing street Wear, and have build their own dream of a shop selling hand picked high-quality classics, such as hand made Leather Jackets from Scotland, 14 oz Jeans from France (Atelier LA Durance!) and Japan (Edwin), American Red Wing Boots and English Vintage Motorcycle T´s..Your chances of finding your all time favorite piece here are very good. Everything on sale is made of top materials and the shop is inspired by American and English classics of the 50´s and 60´s.
The Circus and the boys have together picked the trousers and boots the Circus staff wears..A pleasant experience, all around.
