While this week marked the first day of summer, this weekend marks one of the busiest weekends Berlin has seen in quite some time. Because there’s so much going on, we’ve decided to put together a list of our top three things that the Circus team have their eyes on!

48 Hours Neukölln

Berlin’s biggest off-scene art festival takes place again this year – 48 Stunden Neukölln invites you to see and be part of projects at more than 200 locations in the trendy district of Neukölln. This year’s festival will be themed “satt”, the feeling to be full. Beginning on the Friday, all of Neukölln’s bars, cafés, venues, and public spaces will open up to a wide selection of exhibitions.

Friday 24th – Sunday 26th June

Bergmannstraßenfest

Bergmannstraßenfest

This is another “Kiez” (neighbourhood) festival taking place at exactly the same time as the above but offering quite a different lineup of events. Held every year, the festival is known for its excellent jazz concerts and the multicultural food stands. There will be four stages set up across the West Kreuzberg area and each boasts an excellent lineup.

Friday 24th – Sunday 26th June

Die schöne Hortensie blüht in vielen Farben

Flower Market Berlin

For a slightly more peaceful alternative, Tollwasblumenmachen.de have transformed the roof terrace of Bikini Berlin into a summery floral paradise. The market will focus on seasonal flowers such as lillies, gladioli, sunflowers and hydrangeas. Visitors can look forward to lots of inspiration, accessories, events and food all to do with the subject of flowers.
