The infamous New York-based artist Daniel Turner is finally coming to town for the next month. His solo exhibition will take place at König Galerie’s second location in the beautiful St. Agnes Chapel from the 31st of October to the 6th of December.

Although trained in painting at the San Francisco Art Institute, Turner has become known for his modernist, site-specific, industrial installations. The solo exhibition will comprise of two pieces – the first titled „Britannica“ which involves two industrial-sized kitchen sinks, and the second, his most recent one, is titled „R-2271“ and resembles a binder which has been stripped bare. What both works have in common is that they both, despite their original purpose, look beyond themselves.

The exhibition coincides with the releas of Turner’s new book, Marjorie, which will be available at the preview. With Turner partaking in many group and solo shows worldwide, this is worth seeing while you have the chance.
