As we step into autumn and say goodbye to summer and the scorching heat, it’s time to take the next step in the hotel’s makeover that will be in the spotlight for the upcoming year (if not longer). Ideas are spreading like mushrooms after rain and deadlines are always springing up unexpected. Time does fly!

Best things come from teamwork, so as it was with many projects we’ve been a part of in the past, this one is also collaboration based. Which means a lot of creative power and a lot of hard decision making. The tyranny of choice they call it, and we will say: It’s not been easy. With each idea we decide on another one has to go, and you’d be surprised at how easily doubt can sneak up on you. But lucky for us, we’ve got a Sandra Ernst on our team, and we trust her choices like you trust the seatbelt on a rollercoaster. Need we say more?

Oh, and we also love being putting a face to a story, so here’s a sneak peek at Sandra brainstorming on the new look of The Circus Hotel with Andreas Becker, one of The Circus founders and the initiator of this epic project. What you (and they) are looking at is one of the possible new looks of the hotel’s hallways. But don’t get too excited, this is just a seed in the garden of creative design and this time next year might have you looking at a completely different outcome. Just saying…

And it doesn’t stop there. With a full team on board, multitasking comes naturally. So, while the design team was busy with the big picture, our two Hotel Managers were looking for inspiration elsewhere. House of Crafts exhibition is the place (still happening in case you want to drop by and see it for yourself) and it definitely proved to be a bottomless hole when it comes to décor and interior design ideas. Attention to detail is still in the background of everything we do, so why change a good thing?

From lamps and carpentry to threads and carpets, we looked from the biggest pieces of furniture to the smallest decorative pieces to find that creative edge that will define our new look and feel. Nobody is settling for anything but the best here… And the best perk of the hunt? We get to know our team and how different tastes can come together for the best results! Who can complain about that?

As for the status of project #recreate at The Circus Hotel, it’s now at a stage where we are realizing how big it actually is and we are both excited and overwhelmed. It’s gonna be a lot of work but it’s a work we enjoy doing. And you know what they say: Love your work and you’ll never work a day in your life! It’s all moving towards a newer, sleeker, fresher version of us, but don’t worry, we are keeping the spirit of The Circus that you know and love. You’ll just have to stay tuned, now won’t you?
