Summer can officially begin! June 21st marks the most musical day in the Berlin calendar: Fête de la Musique
With over 100 stages offering music of every genre – in every corner of the city, Berlin puts on its party hat (is it ever really off?) and hosts this incredible musical tour de force for audiences both young and old, visitor and local, and offers sweet, sweet music from a aural-smorgasbord of professional and amateure musicians alike – guarenteed to have your body rocking!
With the Fête de la Musique festival originally hailing from Paris in 1982, it’s now a worldwide music event and Berlin has been hosting this awesome musical extravaganza since 1995, attracting thousands, hungry for revelry , to celebrate the summer solstice, whilst Berlin’s venues, streets, parks and cafés turn into stages.
From 4pm until 10pm the city hosts its ever-loved ‘open air’ gigs and as the sun goes down the parties move indoors.
The entire event is free of charge and this year we will be taking guests to the world famous former no-mans-land-deathstrip-turned-best-park-in-Berlin where we will be partying at the Red Bull Music Academy Stage – getting down to some filthy beats in the sunshine!
