The Berlin concert season generally comes to life when the summer slowly comes to an end. Here to usher in the season, the Berliner Festspiele together with the Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation will present Musikfest, a classical music festival inviting 30 orchestras and 25 composers to Berlin from the 2nd of September to the 20th.
The Passionskirche, the Haus der Berliner Festspiele, and the Martin-Gropius-Bau will be presenting the wide selection of events with international soloists, orchestras, and instrumental and vocal ensembles. The programme of events is indeed star-studded for those knowledgeable of the classical music scene with the San Francisco Symphony, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and first-timers the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Danish Orchestra (Europe’s oldest orchestra), and Philharmonia Orchestra London.
Tickets range anywhere between €8 and €132 and can be bought on the website. Each venue lends itself excellently to classical music, but Passionskirche is one of our favourites.
