This Saturday marks the beginning of a beautiful friendship. The Circus Hostel has teamed up with Streetfoodcollective for a Kitchen Takeover project that will blow your mind and your palate! The project will kick-off with a collaboration with Khwan restaurant. Inspired by authentic flavors and traditional ingredients, Khwan’s expert chefs will be serving dishes that are bursting with wood barbeque regional Thai flavors inside The Circus Café on Rosenthalerplatz. And because no good food can escape good beer in the capital of Germany, we are opening the door of The Circus Microbrewery extra early! Did we mention a DJ is involved?
What’s that? Oh, your Saturday plans just exploded. No worries, we got you! And Taube is the name you are looking for.
But let’s rewind. How did the project come to life in the first place?
Well, it all started around Christmas with our traditional Circus Crew party. We were looking for a caterer who would break the stereotype of canapes and (even worse) warm buffets (yikes!). We then came across Streetfoodcollective and immediately fell in love with their concept! Why? Well, with a “street food meets catering” business module, do we really need to explain why we had no doubt the partnership will blossom into something beautiful?
Designed as a monthly event, the Kitchen Takeover project will be all about bringing the amazing and diverse street food Berlin has to offer to our hostel. Each month will highlight a different cuisine, all united by the highest quality, authentic flavors and traditional ingredients. It’s open for everyone, so whether you call Berlin home or you are just visiting, we invite you to join us on this food escapade!
The menu includes Thai classics like papaya salad and green curry for vegan foodies (don’t worry, no fish sauce is hiding anywhere) and barbeque smoked chicken and Chiang Mai traditional sausage for meat eaters. Paired with a variety of drinks (alcoholic and non) and our famous home brewed beer and signature cocktails, satisfaction is beyond guaranteed!
We’ll be there from 5pm until last man standing, and who knows, it might just be you!
