When we think of Berlin we often think of a hedonistic, bustling metropolis: Bikes, noise, trams, people coming and going and of course adventures to be had all over this sprawling mecca. With Behind The Curtain, we are giving our guests a rare insight into the coolest cultural happenings taking place across the capital, offering everything from exclusive literary events to tickets to the hottest music festivals in Berlin and today we are happy to announce that our seasonal Roof Top Yoga Classes are back!
Self care is so important when you are traveling and our 45 minute morning wellness sessions are the perfect antidote to all that overindulgence that Berlin relentlessly dishes out on the daily. The benefits of yoga range from increased flexibility and lower heart rate to better concentration and improved overall happiness – and after perfecting my downward dog this morning on the roof of the Circus Hotel, with the breathtaking backdrop of the Berlin skyline and an intimate group of fellow guests from our apartments, hostel and hotel to keep me company, I can say that I am more relaxed, focussed and I still feel totally energised as I write this at 5pm.
Every Monday and Thursday during the Summer months Manu and Janine of renowned Yoga Studio Kalaa in Prenzlauerberg will be guiding us through flowing Asanas and flowing movements to reduce stress, increase good vibes and help you start your busy Berlin day right. The classes are suitable and adaptable for all levels, including absolute beginner and certified yogi.
We limit the class to a maximum of 10 participants, so sign up at reception is required. Classes cost €8 and include your yoga mat for the session and are conducted in English – but it’s all about the body flow here so everybody is welcome!
